Over in Hancock Park, celeb favorite LEKfit offers a full-body, dance-inspired workout whose fans include actresses Busy Phillips, Emmy Rossum and more. The boutique fitness studio features three programs: BOUNCE, a high-intensity, low-impact interval workout on a mini trampoline; SCULPT an all-mat dance and yoga-inspired class; and FUSION which combines cardio and muscle sculpting.
Meanwhile, Crubox in West Hollywood is a high-energy interval class set to music—from Drake to ‘90s throwbacks—that’s rooted in fundamental boxing techniques and frequented by actresses like Camilla Belle. “Unlike other workouts, Crubox is designed as a tool to fight back against your insecurities, anxieties or even that job or boss that frustrates you,” says co-founder Valerie Ding, who first opened CruCycle in Singapore with her siblings three years ago.
Two more locations of Metamorphosis also opened recently, first in Eagle Rock and then in Los Feliz, bringing a combination of cardio and strength training to these active neighborhoods. The studio’s “Run, Ride, Shred” motto encompasses the three elements of Metamorphosis: running on a treadmill, rhythm-based cycling and strength-based Pilates. “It is the perfect combination of workouts for someone looking to become stronger, shed weight and develop a long, lean body,” says co-owner Jennifer Yates, who has trained celebrities such as Sofia Vergara and Alessandra Ambrosio.
