Splendor in the Garden does right by style and charity.
THE OCCASION One of the most popular luncheons of the charity season, Splendor in the Garden, a fundraiser for Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, once again enchanted the ladies-who-lunch set with an afternoon of A-list style. THE CROWD Co-chairs Swanee DiMare and Francis Sevilla-Sacasa welcomed some of Miami’s most dedicated philanthropists, including Lesli Brown, Renee Lopez Cantera, Orianne Collins, Mari Grimalt, Carol Iacovelli, Lilliam Machado and Amanda Rodriguez, all of whom were honored this year for their philanthropic efforts. THE HIGHLIGHTS Once again, the man of the hour proved to be Ken Downing, senior VP and fashion director of Neiman Marcus, who oversaw the event’s hallmark fashion show and delighted attendees with his witty remarks. Our favorite quip? “There is nothing that gold and more gold can’t fix.” -Michael Muzquiz
