Voices For Children makes its message of hope loud and clear at its annual black-tie fundraiser.
THE OCCASION Showing no signs of slowing down, Voices For Children held its 22nd annual Be A Voice Gala at the Mandarin Oriental and raised $740,000 to help youngsters in Miami-Dade’s foster-care system. THE CROWD Golden Fan sponsors Yolanda and Jeff Berkowitz and many others welcomed more than 400 guests, including Daniela Swaebe, Michael Comras, Bronwyn Miller, Elysze Held, Brad Meltzer and Michael Mosser. THE HIGHLIGHTS After attendees enjoyed a spectacular jewelry presentation by Harry Winston and a spirited live auction, the fundraiser’s mission was driven home during a powerful speech by a young woman who spoke about her experience as a victim of human trafficking and who now helps other survivors like herself. -Michael Muzquiz
