The bride’s cousin and the couple’s 1-year-old Pomeranian, Teddy, stole the show as flower girl and ring bearer.

Phil Cooper of Kehoe Designs created a showstopping canopy of dangling white blooms and wisteria vine with a crystal chandelier at its center.

Floral “B&M” sculptures were whimsical touches at the guest-book table.

THE COUPLE
Even though neither Matthew Wolin nor Brittany Primack would consider themselves “party animals,” they have the notoriously raucous tradition of hitting the town on Thanksgiving eve to thank for their crossed paths. “I don’t think I ever could have imagined I would meet my future wife that night,” recalls Matthew. “But there was definitely something about our connection that makes it seem obvious in hindsight.”

THE PARTY
Seven years later, the couple and their families gathered at Chicago Botanic Garden—the site of Matthew’s supersweet surprise proposal almost two years prior—for a beautiful wedding set amid the garden’s lush foliage. An extra-special detail: The ceremony was officiated by their dear friend and condo doorman, Jeremy. “More than anyone, he witnessed our relationship grow—all the way from our first date up to the wedding,” muses the couple. “We couldn’t think of anyone better to help share our love story with our friends and family.”

THE DETAILS
The celebrations continued at the reception, where planner Misha Newgren and designer Phil Cooper helped transform the space into a gilded garden party. The dance floor was packed all night, with guests taking breaks only to visit the late-night crepe station and pose for a Polaroid selfie in front of a giant flower wall before sending the couple off on an incredible Bora Bora adventure.
