THE COUPLE
Renzhuo Wang didn’t have to wait down on one knee for Shuonan Yang to agree to marry him. After all, it had been seven years since his humor first charmed her during their time in the college symphony orchestra. The couple collectively decided to make things official during one of their routine night walks, when the connection between them was undeniable.

THE DETAILS
A year later, Shuonan, an architect, and Renzhuo, an engineer, tied the knot with a bright summer wedding on the roof of the Public Chicago Hotel. With the skyline as a backdrop, Shuonan stunned in a Rosa Clará gown as she met her groom at the end of the aisle. There, the couple read original vows to each other before holding a tea toast to their parents, a Chinese tradition.

THE PARTY
After the I do’s, guests boarded a double-decker bus for a tour of the city before continuing the festivities back at the Public Chicago Hotel. Surrounded by lush blooms, guests enjoyed the warm breeze and skyline views well into the evening. It was certainly a summer night to remember.
