Bridal Sign Up

Floral Wonderland

A classically elegant ceremony at the Dallas Country Club is perfect for romantic Francophile Jodi Kathryn Sparrow and her sweet groom, Kenneth William Pratt.

The couple shared a kiss atop their getaway ride, Jodi wearing her Monique Lhuillier reception dress.

Harry Winston rings to seal the deal for the new couple.

Strappy pumps by Jimmy Choo were the perfect complement to the bride’s ensemble.

Jodi’s embellished ceremony dress, also by Lhuillier, and bridal bouquet.

Fancy Cakes by Lauren Kitchens created a delectable cake with a bevvy of blush-pink and peach flowers.

A posh reception featuring extravagent lighting arrangements occurred at the Dallas Country Club.

Jodi Kathryn Sparrow had just moved back to town from France, where she went to college, when she met Kenneth William Pratt through mutual friends. Five years later, Paris still held a special place in her heart. Now, it’s dearer to her than ever.

Ken had never been to Paris, so the couple planned a 10-day vacation there in the spring of 2015. One evening, Ken planned a nice dinner and private boat ride along the Seine for his unsuspecting girlfriend. The couple dressed up and headed out to meet their boat, and as they pulled up to the Pont de Bir-Hakeim, with its breathtaking views of the base of the Eiffel Tower, Ken asked if they could stop and walk the rest of the way to the pier. “Halfway across the bridge, Ken stops and drops to one knee, I was in complete shock!” shares Jodi. “He asked me to marry him and, of course, I said yes. I thought it was the most perfect proposal, and then moments later I found out he had a photographer capture the entire proposal—we took our engagement photos with the same photographer later that week, but the proposal pictures are still my all-time favorites.”

And that’s how the pair found themselves saying “I do” back home at the Dallas Country Club, she in an ethereal Monique Lhuillier trumpet silhouette from the spring 2016 collection, made of Chantilly lace on top of cinnamon and ivory tulle with rose gold and pearl embroidery.

The wedding was a champagne-hued dream, with peach and blush flowers erupting from every surface—and the fun twist of an outfit change and a getaway in a 1970 Ford pickup!
