More than 200 patrons of creativity celebrated OCMA’s 30th annual Art of Dining gala by bringing in upward of $350,000.
THE PARTY When a party is presented by Louis Vuitton, you can expect an event that’s as exciting as it is stylish. And the 250 guests who attended the 30th anniversary Art of Dining gala weren’t disappointed. For starters, the soiree was held at the Orange County Museum of Art’s future home at Segerstrom Center, and the guest of honor was the talented Sun Xun, an international rising star. THE GUESTS It was a chance for A-listers like Sally Crockett, Kathie Porter and Eve Ruffatto to catch up with local power players. Gallerist Peter Blake and wife Stephanie were spotted among the crowd. THE HIGHLIGHTS A luxe outdoor lounge created by Room & Board gave revelers space to nibble on bites by Vaca and sip Moët & Chandon before making their way into a lavish dining tent for a sumptuous meal by The Kitchen for Exploring Foods and a lively auction. It all landed the museum $350,000-plus for its exhibitions and education programs. A memorable evening, most certainly. -Tina Borgatta
