For as long as Laudomia Pucci can remember, nothing defines jet-set style more than Pucci. The iconic brand’s pops of color that swirl and dance in soft rich fabrics have always stood out in a crowd, worn by celebrities and stylish women around the world. From its small start designing ski clothes to building a huge global empire, Pucci has never lost its chicness along the way. Recently, we met with fashion designer Emilio Pucci’s daughter, Laudomia Pucci, who is now the image director and chairman for the house, to share the brand’s connection and influence on fashion in Palm Beach.
How do you see the connection between Palm Beach and Pucci? The connection has pretty much always been there, from the late ’50s onward! It’s a story of colors, chicness and laid-back lifestyle, and a joyful sophistication that belongs to both Palm Beach and Emilio Pucci.
Is there a favorite Pucci print in PB? I do not think there is a favorite print per se; it’s more color hues and combinations!
What is the most popular print sold? It would be difficult to say! We have so many! I think what is interesting with our prints is that they have this ever-appealing effect like works of art.
Why is it important to have Pucci represented in PB. We are a global brand, meaning that we are present in Asia, Europe, Russia and the Middle East... but we love making sure we take care of our early markets with the same passion.
Are there any other plans for the store in PB? We are in Palm Beach to kick off the season and present the new collection at a friend’s house with many friends and clients attending. ... I am thrilled! Mothers and their daughters love Pucci!
