The annual Symphony at Salk event was packed with dinner, drinks and a celebrity guest performance.
THE PARTY An evening under the stars, indeed. The 23rd annual Symphony at Salk featured delicious cuisine, drinks and a celebrity performance to raise money for the institute’s operations as well as for Salk’s education outreach programs. Incredible scientific microscopy artwork by Louis Kahn, designer of the Salk Institute, and Francoise Gilot adorned the walls. THE GUESTS Guests Angelique Laroche and Kurt Cellar, and Nina and Bob Doede, among others, enjoyed cocktails before dinner and a show. THE SCENE The evening kicked off with pre-event mingling, light bites of truffle sliders and poke, and Champagne. As the sun set, guests were led inside, where they enjoyed a seated dinner and a performance by Tony Award winner Leslie Odom Jr., who originated the role of Aaron Burr in the renowned Broadway musical Hamilton. -Claire Harper
