Closing time at the Armory

Hundreds of kinksters gathered Saturday night to commemorate a decade of filming now coming to an end at's studios in the Armory building in the Mission district. The porn studio is ending production in the space after an affiliate of Chicago-based AJ Capital Partners bought it for $65 million in February—but that didn't prevent them from throwing one last party.

“It's an evolution reflective of the current shift in San Francisco culture,” said the event's producer, Boenobo the Klown, of Trapeze Worldwide.

Fedoras and feathers flew as burlesque dancers performed, cabaret bands played, and patrons mingled in the halls of the historic site's top floor one last time. True to form, the party continued well past 4 a.m.
