THE PARTY The Mediterranean made its way to DC with the opening of Alhambra restaurant at the St.Regis. Led by Chef Sebastien Giannini and executive pastry Chef Thierry Delourneaux, the restaurant features fresh, local ingredients with a uniquely Mediterranean twist. 300 VIPs got a first look at the elegant space, with samplings of Alhambra's sweet and savory delicacies and Bruno Paillard Champagne.
THE PEOPLE Washingtonians know good food, and Alhambra made a splash with guest David Levy, Roxanne Roberts, Andrea Roane and Steve Ross.
BEST IN SHOW Guests had a rare opportunity to mingle with the chefs themselves, who chose to feature menu items such as scallops a la plancha, tuna tartare and gianduja mousse for the grand opening. Each guest also left with a gift of fig and walnut bread made exclusively for Alhambra by Boulangerie Christophe.
