THE PARTY The Junior Council of Children’s National Health System celebrated the 11th annual Dancing After Dark at Dock5 at Union Market. Over 450 guests danced the night away after a luxurious feast of hors d’oeuvres and sweets from Occasions Caterers including pimento cheese puffs, crab Rangoon, braised pork tostados and bananas foster French toast. The signature cocktail of the evening was a French 76, a refreshing blend of champagne, lemon and vodka.
THE PEOPLE VIPs included Council Co-Chairs Paul Grayson and Carolyn Downs, and Dancing After Dark Co-Chairs Keith Carr and Peter Benziger. An enthusiastic Dr. Bear also made a grand appearance, reminding everyone to let their inner child loose.
BEST IN SHOW The dance floor was packed and the energy was high during performances by Nightsong Band, and the crowd managed to dance their way to raising over $150,000 for Children’s National.
