THE PARTY Pennsylvania Avenue turned snow white as 4,500 people gathered for a chic, all-white dinner party and soiree that began as a Parisian tradition nearly 30 years ago. Guests eagerly awaited the announcement of the secret location before descending on Capitol Hill with white tables, chairs and opulent decor. This year, guests had the option of selecting from six themed picnic baskets from chef Mike Isabella including indulgences like Kapnos’ signature spreads, Asian style fried chicken and homemade tiramisu.
THE PEOPLE In the spirit of Diner en Blanc, guests line up their tables side by side for a truly communal experience. The crowd shared food, laughs and dance or two as The Todd Marcus Quartet and DJ Sabeel Chohan kept the energy high.
BEST IN SHOW Subtle touches from event company, The Davis Group, make the night extra special. Poets crafted personalized haikus on vintage typewriters and sponsors Champagne Jacquart and Lincoln Motor Company provide luxurious sips and photo sets.
