THE PARTY A little snow didn’t hold back gala attendees from dressing up and showing their support for N Street Village at their annual gala held at the Marriott Marquis. The award-winning social services agency provides housing and support to homeless and low-income women in the DC metro area and provides support services for over 2,000 women yearly. Attendees showed their support through the silent auction with an array of items including tickets to the Masters, private catering with RSVP Caterers and box seats at a Nats Game. The evening continued with a delicious sit down dinner and inspiring words from N Street Village clients, event chairs and staff.
THE PEOPLE The finest DC leaders and the city’s loveliest philanthropists attended the sold-out event. 2017 co-chairs, Hillary Baltimore and Sandi McCoy, entertained an array of amazing guests including CEO of Marriott International Arne Sorenson and his wife Ruth, who were both presented the Founder’s Award at the event. The final award that night - The Steinbruck Awards - were presented to three very special N Street Village clients - Catherine, Peggy and Thomure. Other notable guests in attendance included N Street Village Executive Director Schroeder Stribling and Senator Mike Enzi.
BEST IN SHOW Raising the bar! With their most successful event in the history of N Street Village, the gala raised over $1.5 million! To top off this special evening, two-time Grammy-nominated artist, Andra Day, performed live for the gala-goers. She amazed the crowds with her hits “Rise Up” and “Amen.” It may have been cold out, but not a single person left without a warm heart.
